The Tomilia Ultimate Memorial tournament, or TUMT for short, is a friendly ultimate frisbee tournament for anyone who wishes to join. Each year friends gather into teams and compete for a chance to get their names on the championship trophy and other fun awards like "best dressed". For the price of $5 per person we provide water, snacks, awards, and shirts for your team to decorate for your uniform.

The story begins with Eva and John, mere acquaintances, anticipating the start of the next school year. While eating at the famous Chilangos Burrito Bar with a group of friends after swim practice, Eva and John express their interest in adopting a new pet. Eventually, they come to the conclusion that they want to share custody of a pet mouse. But there's one big problem. Neither of their parents can find out.

For the first couple weeks of that summer, John and Eva lived happily with their mouse who they decided to name Tomilia. However, Tomilia had started to act strange, and after doing more research they discovered that they should have bought another mouse to keep her company. So, they did just that. The new mouse's name was Rally, and Tomilia seemed to enjoy their company.

One week later, Eva and John went to swim camp, leaving Tomilia and Rally with their friend Kiersten. The day before they returned, Tomilia had passed away and had a respectful burial in Kiersten's backyard. Now, Rally was left alone, but the two parents decided not to dig themselves or their pets any deeper. The incident had made them uneasy and they realized that they should no longer contribute to the sad end of any being, even as small as a mouse.

After Rally passed, John and Eva gathered up their friends, and held a heart warming memorial for their beloved mice. Afterwards, the group decided to play a game of ultimate frisbee, and it was there that the tradition was born. Since the summer of 2018, a memorial service followed by the Tomilia Ultimate Memorial Tournament, has be held every June. This event has become a highlight of the summer, where new friendships are made and old friends have a chance to come back together.
